I need to share why some younger people shouldn't direct or lead projects involving a large amount of people:

I was recently enlisted to be an artist on a remix mod for FNF, and I was excited. In the first couple of days I had some of the character's designs finished and ready for implementation. The issues began to arise when the director brought on another artist, but I didn't have an issue initially, as the artist usually did their own thing. The issues began when the director began replacing my designs with the other artist's HD designs without giving me any sort of chance at communication.

The next problem comes with the director's will to work on their own idea. On multiple occasions, they spoke about canceling the mod, and eventually, they did cancel it. The director explained how much they wanted to bring this idea to life and I encouraged them to continue it with all of the progress that had been achieved, and I thought that I had been successful with my attempts at convincing them to resume the mod, but I was wrong.

As of recently, the mod was canceled for a second time because of "lack of motivation" when they rarely ever did anything other than tell people what to do. Along the development of the mod, the director had also been posting art that wasn't theirs (some of mine and some of other's) without giving credit and would become irritated when someone called them out on their behavior.

I tried to cover all of my main concerns with this director. And while this particular person is of a younger age, I know that doesn't mean that all younger people will be like this. This was partially my fault for trusting someone who I had never interacted with before.

I am interested to see other's thoughts on this to see how you would have handled the situation.

I haven't seen many of my IRL friends in three years

Since I started streaming again, I really started dipping into other areas of the internet and content creation (Newgrounds being the newest), but I'm starting to get discouraged by the lack of progress I'm getting on twitch and what not.

I understand that it takes time, but it's getting to the point where I'm starting to feel like that time will never come for me. I'm sure it's just a feeling though, and that if I keep streaming and keep uploading art I will eventually get there.

If you do read this vent from a seventeen year old, thanks, I appreciate it.

Does anyone else think that "Burntrap" sounds strange? I understand the origin of the nickname, I just feel like "Scorchtrap" would be a better one, fitting the S and T sounds in past nicknames.

I'm interested to see other people's opinions on this since it's a little trivial.

Those of you that animate or do digital art, what laptop did you use to start?

I'm just trying to grow the quality of my work.

For those of you who are interested: I will be trying to find my FNF concepts and finish them off with color and established frames, and if you, for some reason, are excited to see them finished, thank you for being excited for my little drawings.

The more and more I feel sick, the more I think I am a sentient mud pile stuck to the carpet.
